Bruce Hunter leads the community of CCC.  Bruce has lived in the Charlottesville area for the last 16 years and is familiar with the unique culture of Central Virginia.

In 2005, he began to sense a call from God to establish a nontraditional congregation focused on meeting the spiritual needs of persons moving into the larger community surrounding Zion Crossroads and other persons not participating in a local congregation.  Beginning the small groups in January of 2008 which evolved into Crossroads Community Church is the result of that call.

Bruce serves on the Board of Directors of the Arc of the Piedmont and the Fluvanna/Louisa Housing Foundation, nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for people in Central Virginia.  He, his wife, Susan, and daughter, Mary Elizabeth, live in the Boyd Tavern community, about five miles west of Zion Crossroads.  During his spare time, Bruce enjoys fishing, woodworking, music, and one-on-one interaction with people.

Bruce is a graduate of Averett College in Danville, VA with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.  He has served as a pastor for more than 20 years and is currently enjoying the role of church planter.

If you are in need of a caring community or have questions concerning CCC, contact Bruce at 434-589-6689.  Or, you can email him at bruce@ccc4mission.org.
